Uniform

A full uniform (Skill Up jersey, shorts, and socks) is mandatory for all players at all training sessions. New players will receive their uniform kit on the first scheduled training day.

If your child has never attended training before, they must wear all black for the first session. Training without the full uniform is permitted in the first session of the season only.

If your child has previously attended Skill Up training and requires an additional uniform or a different size, uniforms may be purchased online.

  • FUNdamental & Development Groups: Players must arrive 15 minutes prior to the session to receive their uniform kit.

  • Performance Group: Uniform kits will be distributed at the end of the session.

All uniform items are deemed final sale upon delivery to the player. No refunds or returns shall be accepted under any circumstances, including items that remain unused or with original tags. Any issues related to sizing or manufacturing defects must be reported at the time of receipt.

For new players requiring a size exchange: The full uniform kit must be returned in its original bag, properly labeled, and in new condition with all tags attached to the coach. Size exchanges will be processed immediately or at the next scheduled session. If the requested size is not available at the time, the replacement will be provided at a subsequent session.

Uniform Exchange & Policy

Players must bring indoor-only shoes.

  • Recommended: indoor soccer/futsal shoes

  • Running shoes are acceptable but may affect performance.

No refunds or deferrals will be granted except for health-related reasons as specified below.

This policy applies exclusively for health-related reasons and is effective only upon receipt of a valid medical note. The official date of receipt of the medical note by the organization determines whether the request is considered before or after the start of the season. All medical notes must be submitted by email to: info@skilluptraining.ca

For the purposes of this policy, “before the season starts” is defined as any time prior to the player’s first scheduled training session in the season for which they are registered, and “after the season starts” is defined as any time on or after that session.

1. Before the season starts (applies only upon presentation of a valid medical note):

  • Refund: Subject to a $50 CAD administrative fee per registration; or

  • Deferral: Credit may be applied within 6 months from the date the medical note is received.

Weather & Facility Policy

Sessions may be cancelled due to severe weather conditions or permit cancellations by the school board. All updates and notifications will be communicated via email and the InstaTeam app.
While weather and permit cancellations are beyond the control of the organization, we will make every effort to offer make-up sessions within the same season whenever possible.

Parent Viewing

Parents are welcome to watch from designated areas. To help players stay focused and fully engaged with our coaching staff, coaching from the sidelines is not permitted. Parents are also not allowed to enter the court during training. If you are supervising other children, please ensure they remain seated on the benches. We kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping noise to a minimum to avoid distracting players on the court.
We appreciate your support in helping us create a positive and effective learning environment.

Enrollment & Billing

Enrollment is continuous, and players are automatically rolled into the next season. Invoices for the upcoming season are sent prior to the start of the new session to secure your player’s spot. If you do not plan to continue, written notice must be provided at least 30 days before the end of the current season. Failure to provide notice may result in the next season’s fees being applied.

Health and Attendance Policy

Participants who are ill or exhibiting any symptoms of illness must not attend training sessions. Players presenting signs of sickness during a session (e.g., coughing, sneezing, or other visible symptoms) may be asked to sit on the sidelines and refrain from participating. This policy is strictly enforced to ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff. All participants are expected to follow proper hygiene practices, including covering the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, using tissues or the inside of the elbow, and washing hands regularly.

Please inform us of any medical conditions or allergies during registration.

For Campers

Anaphylaxis and Epi-Pens®: If your child requires the administration of an Epi-Pen, please indicate this on your child’s registration form. You will also be required to complete the Anaphylactic Allergies and Epi-Pen® Administration Consent Form.

Participants who require Epi-Pens are responsible for ensuring that they have their Epi-Pens with them while attending camp. Epi-Pens must be carried by the participant in a waist pack that is easily identifiable.
